Kriya's

Deep work is often accompanied by a profound growth movement. Several people have shared with us that they have had intense emotional and/or physical experiences during and after retreats. These kinds of healing events, sometimes distinctly unpleasant, are called kriyas. Kriyas, both pleasant and unpleasant, are actually experiences we should come to expect as we continue to explore the deeper realms. Even the unpleasant ones are part of a process of helpful growth.
Kriya is a Hindu term for a natural, spontaneous, and often unexpected movement of energy, either physical or emotional, often quite intense, which is deeply healing. It means energy is moving and at work at ever deeper levels. Of course, not everyone will experience their growth in this way, but, you may. If so, playfully, with love, remember to male or female ground, explode the pictures that get lit up (address cords, contracts, whatever seems appropriate) update your 3rd chakra, and embrace a graceful flow and self acceptance.

Workshop Description

This class will explain and teach you how to find the 49 specific energies of the seven planes, each with seven sub-planes, as described in the Theosophical literature of the early 1900s.  The Theosophical writers brilliantly described the whole scope of human potential; synthesizing eastern, western and channeled material in a relatively easy to understand schema of the 49 sub-planes. While their descriptions were rich; at the time, there was no systematic training one could follow to turn the theory of the 7 planes into an accurate awareness of these energies. We are unaware of any other place where one can learn systematically how to find these specific energies. In this class John will explain and channel each of the energies several times, allowing the participants to understand the concepts, and more importantly, to match and identify for themselves each of the energies of the planes and sub-planes. The very specificity of the Theosophical description of the mystical universe allows otherwise fuzzy and unstandardized concepts like soul and spirit to be encountered with accuracy and skill.  Finding these energies adds powerful tools for healing and growth.
John expects also to teach students to perceive the various spiritual bodies as the early 20th century Theosophist clairvoyants did, a vision quite unlike any of the psychics today of whom we are aware. Beginning around the 1960s, it seems a more emotionally centered perception became the psychic norm for people not trained before that time. The new perceptual style served the necessary purpose of centering the spiritual practice of perception on the encounters of every day life.  Revisiting now the perceptual style of the older Theosophists will add a depth and power to the more modern and emotionally authentic path that is the norm today.
Large parts of the class will be channeled and by basking in the channeled energy, both conscious and uncounscious changes are made that open us to respond more resourcefully to events in the present and prepare us to understand advanced topics in the future. Those who come can expect quite a ride, with multiple benefits in many planes.

 

New participants will be entitled to join the   'Practice' Teleconference   every month on the Third Wednesday    (Usually theThird Wednesday of each month......this may change if there is a conflict.....check the calendar page and 'The Grounding Cord' newsletter for dates.)   in which we practice and enhance skills developed in this seven planes class.

Workshop Description

Everyday life takes place within the larger context of a universe that is everywhere alive, sacred and interconnected.  Even the smallest and most ordinary event intersects with, is enriched by and enriches innumerable other consciousnesses and events. 
Yes, as humans, we focus our waking lives primarily in and on everyday life skills and relationships because in the clear focus and specificity of everyday life new meaning is added every moment to ourselves and All That Is.  But that new meaning cannot be fully experienced without openness, consciously or unconsciously, to the myriad interactions that are always and already going on everywhere throughout the alive and sacred universe.  Only through interconnection with the interpenetrating sacred universe can the true value, richness and joy of the everyday life be experienced. 

This seminar will teach specific skills for engaging multiple and larger consciousnesses and for feeling our part in their joy and their joy in participating with us.  We will learn to explore how the most ordinary, or even awful experience, has meaning in the large context that always and already underlies our conscious experience, and we will perceive the luminosity which is at our core and the core of all things.   As we move into the Aquarian Age humans will develop ways of interacting with multiple larger and joyful gestalts of consciousness even as we simultaneously cultivate our everyday humanity.  Last year in this February seminar we explored how to find meaning and joy in every experience by accessing events as they are experienced in the Buddhic plane.  This year we will further explore the beauties of the Buddhic plane as it expands beyond our ordinary everyday life focus, and will also explore how other energy gestalts in other planes underlie, support and enrich each experience.

This year John is confident that the Spring Intensive will address working with the aura from the perspective of the soul, in the style of the 19th and early 20th century Theosophists, but from a 21st century Sethian perspective. 
One cannot really grow at the personality level without also involving one's soul. Clairvoyant meditation and exercises from the soul's point of view are very powerful for promoting healing and growth.
Five times a year John gives seminars covering new understandings and techniques.Since the material is new and channeled, John is not certain exactly what will be covered until the seminar actually happens, but for several years, there has been a pattern.
In February, the seminar covered big picture issues such as the meaning of life and the place of transcendent energies in support of everyday life. The Spring Intensive usually focuses outside the normal perspective of one's personality, the two summer seminars address focused meditation and etheric energy (this summer will probably include kundalini), and the seven day Fall Intensive most directly addresses the issues of everyday life by spending one day apiece on each of the seven major chakras.

     Twice a year we gather for an advanced meditation session, using the luxury of dedicated time and group energy to leap forward in our psychic and spiritual life. The format of these sessions is spontaneous and largely channeled. In the seven day Fall sessions we concentrate on one chakra a day. This allows us to get to deep levels of each chakra. These deep levels of the chakras contain unobstructed trance levels from which we can access various perceptual and healing powers. Used wisely, these new abilities become powerful tools to clear one's aura and to engage everyday life with skill, compassion, creativity and joy.
